In this area of activity, we produce milk and beef cattle through two companies: Altiprado and Noviçor. Altiprado is a dairy farm with a total area of 550ha, with 200ha of forest and 350ha dedicated to milk production through pasture and forage production (grass silage and corn silage). With regard to Noviçor, it is a company dedicated to the fattening of steers in pasture. It operates in the markets of the Azores, Madeira and mainland Portugal. Their activity is essential to dairy farms, since the purchase of calves frees farms from surpluses and boosts the production of beef.
