Aware of the responsibility that comes with being a leader in the production of pork, poultry and eggs in the Azores, we highlight the following facts:<\/p>\n

  • Na Produ\u00e7\u00e3o de Bovinos de engorda, respeitamos integralmente todas as disposi\u00e7\u00f5es legais, sendo que uma parte da nossa atividade \u00e9 em pastoreio.<\/li>\n
  • A Avicultura integra desde a primeira hora todas as disposi\u00e7\u00f5es legais relativas ao Bem-Estar animal das Galinhas Poedeiras em Gaiolas.<\/li>\n
  • A Suinicultura cumpre integralmente todas regras de bem-estar animal nas porcas em gesta\u00e7\u00e3o e nos animais de engorda, em todas as suas unidades de cria\u00e7\u00e3o e engorda.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    CERTIFICA\u00c7\u00c3O DE BEM-ESTAR ANIMAL<\/h3>\n

    In October 2024, Altiprado \u2013 Empresa Agro-Pecu\u00e1ria da Achada das Furnas, S.A. received the Welfare Quality certification for Animal Welfare, an independent certification developed by the Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology of Catalonia (IRTA), in collaboration with Neiker-Tecnalia and the Basque Institute for Agricultural Research and Development.<\/p>\n

    Based on scientific protocols validated by the European Union, the certification stands out for its rigorous evaluation and control of animal welfare quality. For Altiprado, the largest dairy farm in the Azores, this recognition demonstrates the quality and respect for the welfare of dairy cows, contributing to the strengthening of production in the milk supply chain.<\/p>\n

    With this certification, Altiprado has established itself as an example of excellence in the agricultural sector, allowing it not only to care for animal welfare, which is reflected positively in the quality of the milk, but also to reinforce consumer confidence.<\/p>\n
